Albany Medical Center CRNA Assistant Manager in Albany, New York

CRNA Assistant Manager

As the Co-Chief CRNA at Albany Medical Center you will be assisting in the management of 65+ full time Nurse Anesthetists. This includes:

· Schedule creation and maintenance/management

· Maintain all duties and responsibilities of a staff CRNA

· Represent and assist CRNAs with clinical practice issues

· Liaison between administration/MDs and CRNA group

· Monitoring and evaluating individual CRNA performance yearly, or as needed

· Lead a monthly business meeting to bring the department up to date on clinical/educational/departmental initiatives

· Ensure that the CRNAs are practicing to the highest standards of care to provide safe and efficient anesthesia.

· Interviewing and hiring/discipline & remediation plans

· Onboarding and orienting new hires

· Participation in department and Medical Center meetings pertinent to the CRNA practice

· Maintain knowledge of FMLA/PFL protocols

This position requires full time employment of 40 hours per week. It is not required that the Co-Chief CRNA holds a call schedule position but is required to be able to cover any shift available in the department (OB experience preferred). The Co-Chief is entitled to one office day per week if staffing allows and may adjust based on need.
