Responsibilities:

Interact across the company on a cross functional, cross product basis to support New Product Development excellence

  • Interact across the company on a cross functional, cross product basis to support New Product Development excellence & support exlcussively on New Launches.

  • Lead the procurement in NPD, I2V and price productivity projects and meet the critical deadlines to support New Product launches along with meeting committed cost target.

  • Specialized experience working in NPD Procurement Function.

  • Identify the new cost effective quality vendors to meet the product techno-commercial requirements.

  • Work on multiple commodities like casting, forging ,Machining, valves, Metal Fab, Bought out parts like Motor/Controller/Pumps/Electric Panels.

  • Facilitate all Procurement activities related to these kind of special development.

  • Utilize global Procurement process, tools and commodity playbooks to develop a Procurement strategy and plan in accordance to the global manufacturing strategy to ensure that the lowest manufacturing cost is achieved at production start-up.

  • Working with Global Sourcing teams across region & overses suppliers espcecally of Europe /USA.

  • Develop and track the following project deliverables:

  • Development schedule

  • Product cost including material, tooling costs, working capital (lead-time reduction and inventory management) Vs committed cost @ gate 2

  • Warranty

  • Quality

  • Supplier Innovation

  • Recurring revenue

  • Component reuse to further improving the financial results

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 7 to 15 years of experience in

Related field.

  • Strong Analytic experience.

  • Microsoft Project Expertise.

  • Experience with large complex cross functional projects

  • Global project management experience

  • Oracle /SAP experience in a global environment is beneficial

  • Global sourcing experience & strong negotiation skills

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with associated procurement based technical knowledge

  • Strong personal computer application usage skills are required (Desktop office and ERP systems applications)

  • Direct experience with Oracle/ SAP ERP Business Systems and related procurement transactions desired

  • PMP certification is desirable

  • E-Auction Expossures on different plantforms (Jagger/Ariba )

Location: Ahmedabad – Naroda

Percentage of Travel: 30-50% - suppliers(India + Overseas)

Education Standard: Technical Degree
