The Team

The current position is within the Real Estate Industry Content team, which collects asset-level and aggregate data on 924 public and private real estate companies in North America, Europe, Asia, and Emerging Markets. Currently, we track around 100,000 properties across 43 countries in more than 300 fields. These properties are categorized into various types, including multi-family, office, regional malls, shopping centers, industrial, healthcare, data centers, and hotels, as well as Property Green Ratings. Our team has footprints in India, the Philippines, and Pakistan, focusing on providing accurate and timely data to our clients.

The Impact

This role involves leading a team of Data Researchers and overseeing the planning, prioritization, and execution of projects, initiatives, and processes. It requires sound coordination with other Assistant Managers and Managers across global offices to ensure accurate and timely data processing and quality checks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 14 Data Researchers.

  • Manage the day-to-day workflow and performance of the team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.

  • Uphold the vision, objectives, and values of SPGMI.

  • Collaborate with other local and global leaders to achieve departmental goals.

  • Handle special projects assigned on an ad-hoc or urgent basis.

  • Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure smooth operations with minimal interruptions.

  • Proactively identify, escalate, and troubleshoot system-related issues.

  • Drive initiatives and suggest lean ideas to improve business efficiency, including process automation projects.

  • Multi-task while following a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

  • Ensure clear and seamless communication across levels and teams.

  • Manage the performance review process, talent development, and talent management of the team.

  • Identify individual strengths for appropriate delegation.

  • Conduct weekly check-ins to discuss updates, statistics, and other information.

  • Ensure the team consistently meets key performance indicators to improve business performance and achieve operational excellence.

  • Supervise operational management with a focus on surpassing client expectations and maintaining SLAs and KPIs.

  • Establish employee goals, conduct performance reviews, and adhere to performance management, talent management, workflow discipline, and internal quality standards.

  • Track productivity and quality metrics (KPIs) to ensure optimum operational efficiency, conduct internal audits, report non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the team and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction and maintain focus on routine tasks.

  • Strong subject matter expertise in Real Estate Industry Content and understanding of data collection processes, with 3-5 years of experience in real estate workflows processing.

  • High ethical standards, both personally and professionally, to maintain team transparency.

  • People management skills with the ability to build and motivate a team.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including night shifts on a rotational or as-needed basis.

  • Capacity to give and accept feedback constructively and provide coaching to the team.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Effective problem resolution skills through coordination of multi-site stakeholder management.

  • Ability to communicate with people at different organizational levels and across various cultures.

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • High ethical standards to maintain transparency within the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent presentation, communication, multitasking, and project management skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and basic SQL with DBMS.

  • Participation in LEAN/RPA projects, with certification as a LEAN Facilitator and Lean Champion.

  • Advanced knowledge of Pathfinder features and usability, along with WEST, WESTx, and CTS.

  • Relevant people management experience is an added advantage.

  • Education: Graduation/BBA/BA, etc.

This is an opportunity to lead the Real Estate Industry Content team in Ahmedabad. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day work and performance at both the business and team levels. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in managing different projects individually and as part of a team. Strong communication and coordination skills with upstream and downstream teams are essential to ensure smooth performance. Proficiency in Excel, LEAN, basic SQL, and automation concepts is required. The candidate must be proactive in identifying business issues, capable of multitasking, and flexible in meeting deadlines for planned and urgent projects. High ethical standards, both personally and professionally, are crucial to maintaining team transparency and upholding the culture of S&P Global.
