Job Description

A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting andregistering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel'scontinuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financialprofitability.

Job Requirements

As aGuest Services Agent you would be responsible for executing your position'sresponsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and drivingcompany success through performing the following tasks to the higheststandards:

  • Greetguests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to,inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guestinformation and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys,promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guestknows location of room and/or has a bell person accompany him/her

  • Assistguests with check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms andservices are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handlingmoney, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various formsof payment, converting foreign currency, making change and processing giftcertificates and cards

  • Demonstratea thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, roomcategories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other generalproduct knowledge and answer guest questions and inquiries

  • Useup-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and to maximizeroom occupancy

  • Respondto guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly andefficient manner

  • Fieldguest complaints, conduct research and resolve and negotiate solutions forguest satisfaction

  • Receive,input, retrieve and relay messages to guests

Whatare we looking for?

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in front desk or guest service position required

  • Open availability to work varying days/shifts

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Hotel experience preferred
