Position Description:

AIG Asset Management Europe Limited (Irish Branch) is looking for someone to work as part of their Investment Operations – Portfolio Administration/ Cash Reconciliation team. As an integral member of the Investment Operations group, the Portfolio Administration role supports a number of key stakeholders within the AIG Investments network such as Front Office, Portfolio Managers, Investment Accounting and AIG Treasury alike providing back to middle office support to these groups with $340 billion assets under management. The team is responsible for maintaining AIG Asset Management’s books and records via our accounting platform PAM, which ultimately feeds into AIGs financials.


  • Act as a single point of contact for Portfolio Managers, Traders, and investing legal entities in respect to Operations activities on the respective assigned portfolios

  • Perform portfolio administration activities for assigned portfolios - cash management support, cash reconciliations, cash instruction, cash projections, credit impaired and month end processes, with the objective of increasing client satisfaction and delivering the service efficiently

  • Respond to Investment Accounting inquiries and help facilitate gathering information for clients as a single point of contact for portfolio administration

  • Support Managers and leadership in partnering with clients, Portfolio managers, GS (information technology/ middle office/ reference data), Compliance, Legal, and ORM Internal & External Audit staff to further develop/ enhance processes, procedures and practices that support product and service requirement

  • Ensure proper segregation of duties in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Contribute to addressing service issues with custodians and counterparties

  • Contribute to drafting and maintaining Portfolio Administration procedures for assigned portfolios

  • Collaborate effectively with risk management to reduce operational risk for Portfolio Administration activities

  • Partner with other areas of Investments, and the business to deliver best-in-class Investment Operations services

Position Requirements:

Position Requirements:

  • Experience working within financial services – investment/asset management an advantage

  • General/expressed interest in the financial markets/asset management and desire to pursue knowledge further via learning/education

  • Basic understanding of the mechanics of financial products instruments bonds/derivatives/money markets etc.

  • Familiarity of trade life cycle, front office trade entry tools (Bloomberg MOMS or equivalent) an advantage

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong team player; flexible, adaptable and ability to work in fast paced environment
