What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Infrastructure, Planning and Engineering - Enterprise Service Management and Automation Development team to foster ideation and impact our digital and agile transformation by enhancing our clients’ banking experience. As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you’ll be responsible for the technical design, development and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Collaborative Development - Contribute to the agile team goals by collaborating with other functional teams, actively participating in Scrum ceremonies and expanding the technical capabilities of the team. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives while also maintaining existing applications.

  • Programming Ability- Perform and coordinate complex application programming activities within the Scrum team such as developing specifications, coding, testing, debugging, adjusting and documenting in order to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of programs. Design the application's technical infrastructure through specific databases, programming languages, utilities and Test Driven Development (TDD).

  • Lead & Influence - Lead code-review sessions and ensure overall code quality aligns with business and project requirements. Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies. Assist in the transformation from Waterfall to Agile methodologies/practices.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in 3+ years experience in development, with a focus in developing custom applications within ServiceNow. You have exposure to the following ServiceNow modules: Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Resource, Asset Management, Service Levels (SLA). You have experience with Service Catalog and Service Portals, as well as building out API integrations and case exchange. You have experience with ServiceNow integration hub, automation techniques and workflows using Ansible, and PowerShell. Must have functional knowledge and hands on experience in using PowerShell scripts and Ansible in the workflow activities and flow actions. You have experience using ITIL best practices in ServiceNow with a focus on ITSM solutions. You have previous experience and knowledge of working within an Agile environment. You have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to effectively problem solving, work effectively as part of a team and independently, and have a strong customer service mindset.

  • It would be considered a strong asset if you have exposure to ServiceNow design, a JavaScript development background, Knowledge of Python programming language, exposure to MID servers and an understanding of Cloud Services. You hold the following certifications: ITIL, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist.
