TITLE: Endoscopy Center Manager

REPORTS TO: Lead Endoscopy Center Manager

FUNCTION: Responsible for all operations and functions of the assigned Endoscopy Center that together supports a safe environment of care for patients, physicians and employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all local, state and federal compliance requirements for the assigned ASC.

  • Coordinates all Endoscopy Center physician and employee schedules. Must approve all add-on procedures. Includes MD pick-ups for vacation availability and the Saturday Schedule. Builds MD schedules in the GGastro system.

  • Successfully communicates with the physicians regarding their schedules. Keeps them informed regarding clinical or other issues affecting the Endoscopy Center. Listens to their concerns and requests while always working toward a mutually successful outcome.

  • Troubleshoots and is pro-active in keeping the Endoscopy Center functioning without delays. Identifies the correct contact to refer issues including but not limited to the Lead Endoscopy Center Manager, Medical Director of the Endoscopy Center or the CEO of Gastro One.

  • Successfully communicates with the Endoscopy Center employees creating a positive work environment. Holds the employees accountable to their job description, standards of care and to the rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook.

  • Hires, directs, and supervises all ASC employees.

  • Identifies when an employee requires counseling and corrective action and conducts such counseling sessions in a timely fashion accompanied by the correct documentation.

  • Delegates responsibilities as indicated.

  • Provides team meetings and educational in-services as needed.

  • Establishes and enforces policies and procedures for the center.

  • Works cooperatively and in support of anesthesia services.

  • Manages resources according to varying demand within their main center and the other two centers.

  • Participates in all continuous quality improvement projects and data collections.

  • Successfully completes all Gastro One training requirements (i.e. OSHA, TOSHA, HIPAA, safety compliance, etc.)

  • Conducts all duties in a manner which is conducive to the policies and procedures of the Gastro One/G.I. Diagnostic & Therapeutic Center L.L.C.

  • Performs other duties as required or as requested by executive management and/or the physicians.

Required Experience:

JOB EXPOSURE DETERMINATION: Involves exposure to blood, tissue

and bodily fluids.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Current RN licensure in the State of Tennessee and previous management experience required. BSN and/or Master’s Degree preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certification required.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Lead Endoscopy Center Manager. Manages all ASC employees. Works collaboratively with all physicians, managers, vendors, providers, contractors, anesthesia, compliance and all support staff. This position is always a patient advocate.
