Brown University Museum Researcher in Providence, Rhode Island
This part-time position will engage in data collection, maintenance, and analysis regarding the museum research detailed in NSF grant Collaborative Research: Belief revision in early childhood: Learning about learning in the lab and museum. Also the Museum Research Assistant (MRA) will act as a liaison between the lab at Brown University and the Providence Children’s Museum.
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Education or related field required.
Master's degree preferred
At least two years of experience working in a museum setting beyond university-based data collection required.
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of research in cognitive development or education broadly construed.
Experience with research in informal learning, visitor studies, or evaluation of museum exhibits preferred.
Experience working with statistical and coding software, such as SPSS and datavyu preferred.
