Yard Driver / Truck Washer

Job Description:

Washes or otherwise cleans trucks and other vehicles, machinery, and other equipment while observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met. Uses such materials as water, cleaning agents, brushes, cloths and hoses at work site. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best service the company.

Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.

Pre-soak or rinse machine parts, equipment, or vehicles by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually or using hoses. Scrub, scrape or spray machine parts, equipment, or vehicles, using scrappers, brushes, cloth, cleaners, disinfectants, abrasives, vacuums or hoses.

Monitor operation of cleaning machines and stop machines or notify supervision when malfunctions occur.

Maintain machinery, vehicles or equipment or perform minor repairs or adjustments using hand tools.

Maintain supply inventories.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

This position will require the following physical activities: bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, standing, stooping, walking, crawling, and climbing.

Must be able to obtain a Med Card and have a clean driving record.

This position will require actions with more than 20lbs or more on an occasional basis: lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying.

Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.

Must be able to work schedule that best supports the Opco.
