About the Agency
The selectee for this position will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic, Aircraft Department in Virginia Beach, VA.
The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
- Communicate program issues and problems with cardholders.
- Manage the Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic Government Travel Charge Card program.
- Brief managers on concerning program issues.
- Perform daily account analysis by using the card providers various report functions to identify abuse.
- Initiate corrective actions with program guidelines.
- Occasional Travel
- 5% of the time

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: provide guidance to Government Travel Charge Card training material and provide training to card holders; communicate program issues with cardholders; identify issues with Government Travel Charge Card program and provider support devices; ensure sufficient controls are implemented to reduce abuse and misuse; establish accounts receivables; coordinate travel documents and travel vouchers; make official travel, transportation and lodging reservations..

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
