Gold's Gym Sales Manager in Ellisville, Missouri
The Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects related to managing membership sales in an assigned gym; acts as the primary production leader of the club and manages the sales staff to ensure the team meets individual, club, division and company goals. This position also manages all production employees, including but not limited to staffing, performance management and individual and team development while maintaining a positive work environment.
Supervise, manage and lead sales employees to ensure they are meeting expectations and goals
Screen, interview, hire, train and develop, coach, counsel and discipline sales staff members
Work with Gym Management team to manage all aspects of Gym operation and achieve goals.
Generates and oversees lead generation for sales team through Company–sponsored events while coordinating with the regional marketing function locally.
Maintain acceptable level of personal sales production.
Motivate sales staff and monitor their production levels by using the established Gold’s protocols and sales system programs.
Hold daily production meeting with sales team.
Establish and maintain the standard company protocol for sales tours and price presentation.
Maintain and direct training & development of the gym sales staff.
Establish and maintain an active referral system with the sales team.
Establish and maintain a lead box/lead bowl system and monitor on a monthly basis.
Develop and retain corporate client relationships through the sales team on a monthly basis.
Audit sales team on a monthly basis.
Perform other duties as assigned
Uphold the company's vision, mission, values and comply with all Gold’s Gym policies and procedures
Minimum 2-4 years of direct sales experience; 2 years of direct sales management experience is desired
Strong people skills
Requires the ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone
Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
The noise level in the gym is occasionally loud
Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business
