Job Description

As the Head of Correspondent Lending, you will be responsible for leading U.S Bank Home Mortgage’s Correspondent Lending business including our Housing Finance Authority (HFA) relationships. U.S. Bank has a long history in Correspondent Lending, is a leader in providing services to HFA’s and consistently ranks among the top correspondent lenders in the mortgage industry. This role is directly responsible for managing Correspondent Sales and Operations, and will partner with team members within Consumer Lending to drive business strategy, define business priorities and achieve financial objectives. In this role you will report to the Executive Vice President, Consumer Lending.

Responsibilities include:

· Sales Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive sales strategies aligned with Consumer Lending’s overall goals and objectives.

· Operations Strategy Development: Develop plans and oversee initiatives to drive client satisfaction and operational excellence.

· Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to Correspondent team members to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

· Performance Management: Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and implement necessary actions to optimize sales productivity and operational efficiency.

· Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the Correspondent team.

· Market Analysis: Maintain a close pulse on mortgage industry developments to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential challenges within the mortgage industry.

· Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Correspondent clients, HFAs, vendors, and stakeholders to drive collaboration and business growth.

· P&L Management: Manage business line sales strategies, pricing, and operational costs to meet financial targets.

Ideal Skills of Leader:

· 15+ years of banking or other relevant work experience.

· 9+ years of management experience.

· Deep knowledge of mortgage banking and broad mortgage industry relationships.

· BA/MBA in finance, accounting, or other related field.

· Well-developed leadership abilities and strategic management skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

· Strong operational leadership experience with ability to manage in a dynamic environment.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $231,795.00 - $272,700.00 - $299,970.00
