Experian is searching for a talented Data Analyst to joinour Global Web Analytics & Optimization team. The Data Analyst will beresponsible for analyzing and reporting on the performance of Experian’s globalweb properties. The Data Analyst will collect and analyze data from a varietyof internal systems to understand how site visitors engage with our websites,thereby helping drive higher conversion and revenue.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding ofrelational databases as well as the use of data warehousing and ETL methodology.

The Data Analyst will support Experian’s global B2B businesslines by performing a variety of critical data functions, including dataacquisition, data processing, data blending, and web data analysis. You willsupport a variety of business units and regions around the world, whichincludes responsibility for producing and distributing ongoing monthly reports.


  • Collect, process, cleanse, and standardize data frommultiple sources.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance a marketing attributionmodel.

  • Perform quality control on data by analyzing patterns anddata discrepancies. Resolve related issues.

  • Produce ongoing reports, using business intelligence (BI)tools, that highlight sales and marketing KPIs, trends, and potential issues.

  • Collect web data utilizing front-end web technologies,particularly JavaScript.

  • Perform ad-hoc data gathering and research, primarily withExcel, Access or BI tools.

  • Understand internal business users’ needs and translate theminto technical requirements for deploying new marketing analytics reporting.

  • Identify ways to improve data analysis/reporting processes,via automation or other means.

  • Coordinate with other global marketing teams, such asEngineering, Sales, and Demand Operations.

  • Generate and present multiple monthly marketing performancereports for a variety of business units and products.

  • Help define, implement, and maintain the company’s globalstandards for web analytics reporting.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications


  • B.S. degree in computer science, mathematics,statistics or a similar quantitative field

  • Expert in relational databases (2+ years’experience)

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of ETL methodologyand design

  • Proficiency in a major programming language (e.g.Java, VB.NET)

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Superb analytical skills, persistence in problemsolving, and ability to learn quickly and independently.

  • Excellent communication skills and the abilityto tell a clear story using data--both verbal and written communication skillsare critical

  • Produce data visualizations that communicate anddistill complex data

  • Ability to work with APIs

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Experience with third-party businessintelligence (BI) tools, particularly Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau

  • Understand fundamental concepts of statistics

  • Independent problem solver

  • Advanced proficiency in Windows and MS Office, withan emphasis on the use of Excel and Access

  • A strong sense of integrity, work ethic, andpositive attitude


  • Experience with Alteryx

  • Project management experience

  • Salesforce reporting/data extraction

  • Familiarity working with web analytics orclickstream data

  • Understanding of attribution modeling

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics

  • Understanding of A/B and multivariate testingtechniques and measurements
