Atrium Health Loan Officer - Cabarrus College in Concord, North Carolina

Job Summary

Administers the collection, payment, and accounting functions of the Atrium Health Educational Loan Forgiveness program. Verifies completion of loan documents, certifying loans, requesting funds, reconciling accounts and promissory notes, and manages accounts for debt collection efforts. Reports to the Manager, Business Operations.

Essential Functions

  • Administers the collection, payment, and accounting functions of the Atrium Health Loan program.

  • Promotes the College core values and standards of excellence through respectful communication, maintenance of a safe and professional environment, synergistic partnership with those we serve, and anticipation of student, colleague and customer needs.

  • Assists with accepting payments, issuing receipts and posting to student. accounts

  • Composes correspondence and reports as needed.

Physical Requirements

Majority of time spent sitting, typing, telephone communication, writing; standing; walking intra and interdepartmentally; and lifting, pushing/pulling books, chairs, equipment, and carts up to 30 pounds. Responsible for working in a safe manner.

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms.

  • 3 years experience involving student accounts/collections/processing of student loan programs required.

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
