Job Description

The SEG Threat Model Development and Products Team is seeking enthusiastic candidates to support, develop, and maintain configuration management databases.


  • Aid in maintaining current configuration management database

  • Assist as needed with data entry and configuration needs

  • Provide data management support to users

  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering team

  • Verify and correct data where necessary, working with engineering team to ensure corrections are made

  • Modify database according to requests

  • Solve database usage issues and malfunctions

  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files

  • Comply with data integrity and security policies

  • Aid in developing new configuration management database

  • Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols

  • Gather user requirements and identify new features

  • Design a stable, reliable and effective database

  • Develop technical and training manuals

  • Aid in development of databases for Big Data problems

  • Work with engineers and software developers to identify database products and services suitable for solving Big Data problems

  • Work with engineers and software developers to build and maintain a large database infrastructure as well as develop code to access and reduce the data

Required Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

  • BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field

  • Proven work experience as a database developer

  • 4-6 years of database experience

  • In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)

  • Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications

  • Hands on experience with SQL/MySQL

  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases, Big Data infrastructure, Hadoop or other Big Data engines (working experience preferred)

  • Familiarity working with .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML, MyPHP and Oracle

  • An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude

  • Knowledgeable of server applications when designing a database

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills
