Job Type: Full Time

Available Shift: 3rd shift

Compensation: $27.06/hr

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Efficiently perform analytical testing on samples of incoming materials, production processes, and finished product

  • Sample collection/inspection/preparation, analytical testing, interpretation, and reporting of analytical results in the appropriate quality system

  • Performs calibrations, or verifications to ensure the accuracy of analytical equipment, and utilizes data/information to troubleshoot and resolve issues

  • Monitors assists, and trains in the documentation of good hygiene practices (GHP) to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies

  • Understand and communicate analytical results to appropriate personnel

  • Must have working knowledge or ability to understand all job aspects of production: refinery, hydrogenation, deodorization, and packaging

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)

  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

  • Basic computer skills

  • Standing for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Prior experience in production-related work

  • Prior experience in food safety and quality

  • Associate Science in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or any other physical science or minimum 3 years experience in Quality, Operations, R&D, Industrial Management
