Position: Manager of Brand Integration Location - Buffalo, NY
Responsible for ensuring that the M&T Bank and Wilmington Trust Brands are infused across all customer touchpoints to support delivery of a consistent, branded customer experience. This includes acting as an internal advocate for our Brand(s), shaping, influencing, articulating and safeguarding Brand positioning, character and voice, and liaising with business partners and leaders to ensure consistent, quality execution. Manage a team responsible for execution of physical branding/signage across the footprint, and producing and publishing brand guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Act as the primary support for the Manager of Brand, Advertising, and Promotion across all aspects of Brand architecture, product architecture, naming strategy and Brand governance.
Assist the Manager of Brand, Advertising, and Promotion in the project management of all initiatives within the team through project plans, timelines and any necessary briefing materials to inform the rest of the organization on project status.
Keep projects on track through clear task lists, issue tracking, status reports, meetings notes, and escalate issues as appropriate
Schedule and facilitate project status meetings.
Assist in managing scope and timeline of all agency deliverables and projects.
Assist in development of PowerPoint presentations/recommendations.
Spearhead execution and implementation of the M&T Bank and Wilmington Trust brand strategy and integration across touch points – including communications as well as physical manifestations e.g. signage.
Direct and lead the development and implementation of standards (e.g. logos, typeface, signage, architectural design) to apply to all branded materials and experiences.
Work closely with research and analytics teams to monitor and measure the effectiveness of branding programs, develop and communicate to internal constituents on a regular cadence.
Oversee and manage Brand integrity department budgets.
Ensure adherence to compliance and privacy regulations and policies.
Develop best practices and performance knowledge base.
Prepare presentations of brand strategy and/or campaign results for senior management.
Collaborate with Human Resource Business Partner with the Talent Management process, employee engagement/impact planning and compensation cycle to ensure desired outcomes.
Manage team of two and exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
NATURE AND SCOPE :
The position requires the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal client groups and any outside professional assistance in the development of brand development, design, strategy, measurement.
MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY :
This position is responsible for managing a staff of 2 professional level employees directly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a minimum of 10 years’ experience managing a marketing function, or in lieu of a degree a combined minimum of 14 year’s higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 10 years’ experience managing a marketing function.
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED :
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Project management experience
Ability to schedule and manage projects concurrently while maintaining high standard of quality.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
Sound creative judgment and critical thinking skills.
Strong orientation to analytical rigor, problem solving, and playing a consultative role.
Ability to manage marketing/advertising agency relationships.
