Who we’re looking for

The Toyota Financial Services Indirect Procurement Shared Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manager, Sourcing and Contracts . This role will be focused on managing the supplier spend for our Connected Technology team and other Technology focused groups.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement, the person in this role will lead a team of Procurement Analysts and Contract Specialists, to develop and execute contracts consistent with the strategic procurement strategy to support the TMNA Connected Technologies Division (CT) as well as the TMNA OneTech Division and TFS Data & Technology Division.

This role is located in our Plano, TX headquarters and is hybrid in nature, with a mix of in office days and some days working remotely; this could change in the future based on business needs. Candidates are expected to live within a commutable distance to Plano, TX.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of Indirect Procurement experience with at least 2 of those years in managing Technology spend. They will also bring people leadership experience, as this role today manages 3 contractors, with that number likely to increase in the future.

What you’ll be doing

Leadership and Strategy

  • Provide direct leadership, strategic direction and career development coaching to Procurement Analysts and Contract Specialists.

  • Support IPSS Center of Excellence (COE). Determine critical metrics to track financial supplier performance, communicate expectations to BU’s and suppliers, support activities to reduce and control cost, and escalate to IPSS Executive Management as needed.

  • Support the stand-up of the newly formed Connected Technologies Strategic Sourcing team activities and ensure optimal execution. This will drive further compliance to company policy and additional efficiencies across TMNA technology spend and compliance to company policy. This team will strategically manage approximately $300m in annual spend.

  • Support strategic procurement engagements for the TMNA OneTech and TFS Data & Technology Divisions to drive Enterprise Synergies and/or Global Synergies where applicable.

  • Partner with the CT Supplier Management group to support business objectives, participate in project teams as a supplier optimization subject matter expert, and advise the business relative to compliance to established policies.

Transformational Activities and Governance

  • Support the change management plan in collaboration with IPSS and Toyota Technology Leadership teams to ensure compliance to enterprise procurement policies.

  • Review current agreements and assess rates and key provisions across (e.g., termination liability)

  • Engage stakeholders to validate contract negotiation strategy, definition of KPI’s and SLA’s and overall supplier management strategy.

Sourcing Strategy and Delivery

  • Collaborate with Toyota technology teams to understand the demands of changing technology and organization projects.

  • Support partnership activities with CT, the TMNA OneTech, and TFS Data & Technology Support initial and ongoing efforts for spend assessment for CT spend opportunities and prioritize execution.

  • organizations to establish standards, align priorities, and requirements, and identify opportunities for synergized savings.

  • Support the team in the execution of tactical procurement tasks in alignment with established policies, procedures, and process standards.

  • Ensure all processes and procedures are executed properly and documented per internal control requirements.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • At least three (3) in Indirect Procurement

  • Two (2) or more years in Indirect Procurement supporting Technology spend

  • Two (2) or more years supporting/negotiating contracts

Added bonus if you have
