Instructor of Business Communication Job No: 497429 Work Type: Faculty Full-time Department: Sy Syms School of Business Location: Wilf Campus, 500 West 185th Street, NY, NY Categories: Education/Teaching Position Summary: Teach undergraduate college courses in the field of Business Communication, including public speaking, writing, interpersonal dynamics, and related fields. Position Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, teach, and provide follow-up for undergraduate courses in the Business Communication Department. Support students in their quest for success. Cooperate on curriculum development, lesson planning, and other departmental needs. Participate in faculty meetings and other school and university-wide initiatives. Experience & Educational Background: Applicant must have an advanced degree in Business, Communication, Education, or a related field. Skills & Competencies: Applicant must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience teaching and/or training college students or adults. They must have an in-depth understanding of experiential education practices, and communication theories, and the ability to relate learning to the world beyond the classroom.
