US Market Access Marketing Director: Antivirals

ROLE SUMMARY

The incumbent, within the US Market Access Marketing (USMA-M) team, will lead the development and execution of the US access marketing strategy for Paxlovid and any future antivirals with a focus achieving profitable access in alignment with Brand goals. They will be responsible for the development, creation, approval and launch of key strategies and tactics designed to educate formulary and access decision makers and ensure optimal access. The Access Marketer will advocate for access, reimbursement and policy approaches that support Brand uptake and performance.

The US Market Access Marketer will be part of the USMA Marketing team and will partner with Team Lead. This role will direct and align strategies and tactics with the Brand team for the Antivirals franchise and work across the USMA organization as appropriate including Payer Account management regional and national teams, Market Access Strategy Pricing and Analytics, Market Access Operations, Channel Management. In addition, this individual will work collaboratively with Field Medical, Global Access and Value (GAV), and other key internal and external stakeholders. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The USMA Access Marketer will:

  • Ensure successful revenue maximization of Paxlovid by leading the Antivirals Access strategy and developing the annual Antivirals Access Plan

  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics to support effective Antivirals launch and or line extensions and formulations

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to set and monitor access goals and plan strategies accordingly to maximize Gross to Net (GTN)

  • Developing or updating our Antivirals Value proposition and value narrative to engage payer customers in their decision making based on clinical and economic value

  • Develop and implement quarterly POA priorities and call to action with Account Management teams

  • Proactively identify and address key Antivirals barriers to access and performance by applying advanced understanding of and experience with contracting and pricing strategies, analytics, and market trends across brand lifecycle, and market channels

  • Through the Antivirals narrative, ensure access decision makers assess the potential cost savings and evaluate the economic impact of incorporating Paxlovid into their formularies

  • Where appropriate, drive inclusion of Paxlovid into healthcare formularies or evaluate opportunities to identify alternative access approaches

  • Drive and inform key decisions regarding Paxlovid access assessments for and negotiations in a complex and continuously evolving market

  • Assess sustainable pricing through selective contracting that is informed by advanced competitive intelligence and analytics

  • Manage USMA Brand budget and secure appropriate funding for Antiviral specific strategies and tactics from commercial partners per SOP.

  • Lead and manage Brand Access Matrix Team and associated deliverables

  • Lead customer value partnership opportunities for Paxlovid in collaboration with Customer facing teams and in partnership with USMA Customer Marketing

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 10+ years of combined experience within the U.S. pharmaceutical/healthcare market with primary focus within Customer/Account Management, Payer Brand/Customer Marketing, and/or Healthcare consulting

  • Recent US Market Access Marketing experience is required

  • Pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers

  • Familiarity with key payer conferences, customers, and opinion leaders, experience designing and leading payer ad boards and market research

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategy that links to executable tactics.

  • Prior success delivering results and experience with collaborating across multiple stakeholders to drive results.

  • Understanding of key business processes driving performance, and ability to align objectives and execute across multiple disciplines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to lead teams, build coalitions and develop strong partnerships across functions

  • Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with customers

  • Track record demonstrating strong collaborative and communications skills; outstanding writing and presentation skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problems

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to spot trends/ patterns

  • Change agile

  • Strong customer-orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others

  • An "execution mindset" focused on getting things done quickly and simply

  • Experience managing a high volume of projects simultaneously

  • GCMA experience preferred

  • MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred

  • People management experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of both leadership and team work in a matrix environment

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
