Job Summary:

Trane Technologies in Davidson is hiring an Accounts Payable Sr. Accountant for its Accounts Payable team. The Accounts Payable Sr. Accountant is part of the North America (NA) Accounts Payable organization and reports directly to an NA Accounts Payable Leader. Responsibilities include supporting the Accounts Payable operations to ensure all third-party payables are processed accurately, efficiently, and timely in compliance with internal controls/policies and external regulatory requirements. This role will develop and foster strong relationships with key business stakeholders to drive timely, accurate, and efficient processing of Trane Technologies Accounts Payable.

This is HYBRID position, ideally working Tuesday-Thursday in our Davidson office and Monday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly account and month-end close account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Reconcile bank activity to disbursement file and monitor Bills Payable interface files.

  • Submit and monitor Positive Payment files.

  • Publish weekly and monthly reports including metrics and accruals.

  • Provide 30- & 60-day Corporate Cash Forecasting

  • Perform and undertake Escheatment process.

  • Create, update, and maintain Accounts Payable policies and procedures.

  • Provide Treasury support including resolution of US and foreign payment issues and assist in establishing new banking interfaces with AP.

  • Review, understand, and communicate journal entries and other processes assigned to this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable and/or Finance and Accounting

  • Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Working experience and technical knowledge of Oracle R12 preferred

  • Experience with SOX compliance preferred

  • Proficient computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical ability requiring a high degree of attention to detail

  • Initiative-taking approach to responsibilities

Base Pay Range: $57,000-$119,500 / annual
